Your impact is ensuring future generations can enjoy Ewing Manor too
Ewing Manor was gifted to the ISU Foundation in 1969 upon the death of Hazle Buck Ewing, who was an activist and community advocate throughout her life of 88 years. Her wish was to have her historic home preserved as a cultural center.
The manor and grounds have consequently become a treasured gem that attract visitors from across the world. It is appreciated locally as well by community members who stroll the gardens, patrons of the arts who attend events, and students who engage in learning about a range of subjects including history, horticulture, construction, and theatre.
Upkeep of the manor that was constructed in 1929 is continuous and necessary to preserve the home’s character and structure. One significant undertaking has been to restore the home’s windows. The work has been ongoing the past decade, with 74 windows completed. Your gift will support completion of the remaining 30 windows.
With your investment, Ewing Manor and the surrounding gardens will remain an iconic treasure and unique resource.
