40% of College Students Don't Have Enough Food!
Did you know? 40% of college students nationally don’t have enough to eat or are “food insecure”! These numbers are shocking and similar for our Redbirds here at Illinois State.
Illinois State is launching several initiatives to meet the growing needs of students in this economy.
• A new centralized website for students to reach out for help and connect with available resources that encompasses all Basic Needs, including shelter, food and transportation.
• Work has begun on a Student-Peer Navigator program. It’s important for students to hear from peers who can help them in navigate local community resources and public benefits.
• Your gift will also help support free mini food pantries across campus that are easily accessible to all students and the faculty that identify needs.
