Illinois Shakespeare Festival & School of Theatre and Dance Need Your Help!
With the assistance of generous donors and the Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts, the Illinois Shakespeare Festival will soon be purchasing a new 16’ “box truck.”
During this Holiday time of giving, we hope you will support Illinois Shakespeare Festival to push us that last step toward completing our final project to "wrap" our new truck with our branding.
This wrap will display the logos of the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, the School of Theatre and Dance, and the Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts.
The truck is incredibly beneficial to the Illinois Shakespeare Festival!
• During a typical summer season, we make hundreds of trips through the community, to and from campus, the Ewing Theatre, and area vendors where we purchase production supplies and materials.
• The truck transports set pieces, costumes, props, lighting and all other equipment to Ewing Theatre from the shops on the ISU campus.
• During the Festival off-season, the School of Theatre and Dance and the School of Art at Illinois State University use the truck for purchases in the area and occasionally Chicago.
• At any given time, the truck may be transporting bolts of fabric purchased from a Chicago supplier, plywood from an area lumber supplier, or hardware and other equipment for our shops.
• Company staff, interns and students are trained and certified to operate this vehicle for our Festival and the School of Theatre and Dance.
