Sponsor a Student for the 5th Annual First-Gen Summit!
Our goal is to cover the costs for first-generation Redbirds to attend the 5th Annual First-Gen Summit: Pathways to Success. With a donation of $100 in support of our TRIO program, you are covering the cost of a current Redbird to participate in this high-impact event.
Each $100 you give will cover registration for a student to attend the First-Gen Summit in November 3-4, 2023.
More About the TRIO Program
Illinois State's TRIO program recognizes the wealth that first-generation students bring to the campus community and walks with them as they achieve personal and academic success. TRIO serves students that are first-generation (neither parent graduated from a four-year school), have demonstrated financial need according to federal guidelines, OR persons with a disability.
TRIO takes a holistic approach that goes beyond grades and provides a community of supportive, trained professionals who are committed to students' holistic success.
Every year, TRIO hosts a variety of impactful workshops, seminars and events to assist in closing the gap of opportunity, access, and knowledge.
The Annual First-Gen Summit and Sneaker Ball is a series of events/activities that are free to students, but we ask for sponsors and donors to assist with covering event costs.
