Public Relations Students Society of America (PRSSA) works hard to provide our students with meaningful experiences that contribute to their professional development and personal growth. This year, we're reaching out to the ISU community to help us send all 10 of our dedicated PRSSA board members to ICON 2024 in Anaheim, California. This important international conference brings together thousands of professionals and students, providing exceptional opportunities for networking, learning, and growth. Your support will directly fund travel expenses and conference fees, ensuring our members can fully participate in this transformative event.
Why Your Support Matters
Our goal is to raise $5,000 with a stretch goal of $7,500, over a four-week campaign ending on July 17, 2024. Every dollar you contribute will directly fund travel and conference expenses, making it possible for our members to take full advantage of this incredible opportunity. We also welcome donation matches from individuals and companies to help us reach our goals faster. We are committed to using any surplus funds to support upcoming conferences and agency tours, maximizing the impact of every dollar donated.
PRSSA’s History
PRSSA has been a cornerstone at ISU for decades, once filling lecture halls in Schroder. After the COVID-19 pandemic, PRSSA took a large hit that resulted in the need to rebuild and reconnect. For the past few years, we have worked to recover our members, connections, and opportunities.
Despite struggles from COVID-19, this past year PRSSA won the “Small RSO of the Year Award” for the 2023-2024 school year, doubled our members, led an EDIA event in collaboration with multiple other RSOs, and expanded our board for the coming school year. Expanding our board from six to ten people will allow us to continue to grow our Chapter and provide prominent experiences for our members.
