Raise the Bar for Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority!
Since it all began in 1922, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. has been dedicated to making a positive impact. The organization was founded by seven school teachers. Fast forward to April 1973, when the Gamma Rho Chapter was formed at Illinois State University by ten enthusiastic students.
Sigma Gamma Rho’s commitment to service is expressed in its slogan, “Greater Service, Greater Progress.” The mission of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. has always been to improve the well-being of women and their families by actively participating in community service, civil and social action initiatives. Prioritizing education, health awareness, and leadership growth, the sorority and its members are dedicated to positively impacting the Redbird community.
Your Gifts provide this Scholarship:
We are seeking your help for the Gamma Rho Chapter Alumni Scholarship, which aims to create a "Living Legacy" by easing the financial burdens of pursuing higher education. With the rising expenses of college, many students struggle to afford tuition, housing, and study materials, and your contribution to the scholarship fund could have a significant impact on these students' educational journey.
To endow this fund, award the scholarship and make it sustainable for years to come, we needed a total of $33,000. Thanks to generous alumni we were already over halfway there!
We started this academic year in August with $18,000, with a
goal to raise $15,000 more in just one year.
We're almost there! Will you help us reach our goal?
Donors can choose to display their names and donation amounts as a token of appreciation.
Let's unite to empower Redbirds as they pursue their dreams.
