We need your help sending our WZND students to accept their award!
WZND Radio has once again been named the Broadcast Education
Association's Signature Station. Each year, the BEA recognizes one college
radio station for its exemplary work in an international competition.
WZND has won this award for three consecutive years and is
the only station to win the award four times!
Students have the opportunity to accept their award in Las
Vegas as part of the 2023 BEA/NAB Convention in April. In addition to accepting
their award, students will learn from and network with peers, professionals,
and media scholars from other institutions during the convention. Students will
also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with potential employers at the
convention thanks to the Radio Advertising Bureau's mentorship program.
WZND is
seeking $5,000 to help cover the cost of student airfare, lodging, and other
travel expenses related to attending the convention.
