The rapid spread of COVID-19 has resulted in changes to everyday life that have left many of us uncertain how to respond and keep ourselves and our families healthy.
This is WCBU’s commitment to you: we will be here, reporting the news, providing context and keeping you connected to what is happening in the greater Peoria community, across the country and around the world.
Some Good News:
Our dedicated and award-winning team of journalists has been doubling down to meet the demands of this time, working from makeshift studios, investing countless extra hours, amping up our level of teamwork and collaboration, all to get the information you need as it develops.
The Not So Great News:
Due to stay-at-home mandates, we’ve postponed our traditional on-air spring fund drive where we ask for listener support. (silver lining: news continues uninterrupted!)
The Challenge:
The unmatched public service WCBU provides is only possible through your contributions. We need to raise $100,000 which will allow us to pay our bills and continue news and programming this summer and fall. If you want to support live, local and trusted news on-air and online for you and your community, please contribute during our virtual fund drive!
Your financial investment means even more to WCBU now as a sign of solidarity in this new battle we fight.
Thank you for your support!
