This project is now complete but you can still support Universal Design for Redbirds Remote Learning by making a gift online here: https://giving.illinoisstate.edu/fund/student-access-and-accommodation-services-fund/
During the past few months of remote teaching and learning, Illinois State has seen an increased commitment to designing courses or programs with EVERY student in mind. Advocating for students’ equal access to technologies to help them gain success in all modes of learning is an important goal of the Universal Design mission of the Student Access and Accommodation Services.
Whether it is a student experiencing test anxiety or a student needing assistance with notetaking, assistive technology solutions like the ones funded by this campaign help ALL students learn with greater ease.
Help us move Universal Design for learning efforts forward and continue to provide students equal access to assistive technology tools. Together, we can empower our students to become independent, critical thinkers, with life-long learning skills to meet their personal and professional goals.
This campaign is to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act – a landmark piece of legislation signed into law on July 26, 1990. Help us continue to educate others about the impact and mission of the Student Access and Accommodation Services.
Supercharge a student’s note-taking: One month of Otter, an online transcription and editing application.
Give a student access to read with their ears: Voice Dream Reader.
Celebrate 30 years of progress in access & inclusion #ThankstotheADA. All commemorative donations will help fund the essential costs of Student Access and Accommodations Services.
Make a positive impact on a student’s comprehension skills: 60 minutes of high-quality video closed captioning.
Help a student never miss a word: LiveScribe Echo Smartpen and notebook allows students the ability to search, organize and replay their notes.
