To begin, we would like to thank everyone who pitched in to help us replace our van. While we fell short of our goal, we are determined to use your generous gifts to help our program and our students. Through weeks of meetings to discuss how to best utilize what money was raised, we were able to come to, what we believe, is the best possible outcome.
In the coming months, every dollar that was contributed to Driving to Success will be used to help get our current fleet of vans cleaned and running their best. We will be purchasing products to begin detailing all of our vans throughout the year, prior to student travel to professional development activities. Your gifts will also help us cover the cost of annual maintenance on the vans in the form of oil changes, new tires, and much, much more.
We will also be using the funds to help cover the cost of travel to professional meetings such as Collegiate FFA/PAS, NAMA, Professional Landscape Contest, American Society of Agronomy Meeting, and Animal Science meetings.
We would again like to thank everyone who stepped up to help us. Your gifts and your generosity mean a lot to our department, our students, and our faculty. We hope that you will continue to stay in touch with us as we bring more Hatch projects for the Department of Agriculture.
